I Couldn't Have Said It Better

This is a part of Governor Fashola's recent speech in Warri and sentiments aside, any sane person would know that he is speaking the absolute truth.

I say enough of mediocrity and incompetence in our system. If we keep covering up blunders they will only keep festering and piling up until they explode in our faces, costing lives and destroying us as a nation.

Everyone Has A Story......

Wow. I came across this video and naturally felt the need to share it in order to help others understand that things are never always what they seem and by showing a little bit more tolerance and understanding towards the homeless and poor we see around. Let's endeavor to always reach out and be #AllHeartsAlways to the needy around us.

One Of The Best Presents Ever. :)

There are gifts and there a gifts. Check out the heartwarming gift this little girl recieved for her birthday. Her dad is a soldier who had been away on duty for eight months and a visit and hug from him was what she wanted until this gift box arrived. :)

Je Suis Charlie.

The randomness of terrorists' attacks baffles me always. It could be you or I at any given time the madness takes over these terrorists. What an awful existence.

Below is the late Charb's last cartoon; translated to mean "No attacks in France yet; wait! There's until end of Jan  to wish Happy New Year"! Hmmmmn, perhaps he knew death would come calling this January?

His cartoon is scarily accurate. Wow.

The image below was used on the American show, Family Guy, and it depicted Jesus holding a machine gun and being passed a wrap of weed by a black man. Like someone pointed out, no lives were lost on account of such obviously offensive depiction, so why kill 12 people whose opinions differ from yours?

There have been lots of support from people around the world especially cartoonists. I like the fact that people aren't scared of the insane repercussions of standing for freedom of speech. See some of the cartoons being drawn in memory of the deceased:

UPDATE: There's a breaking news about the Deputy Mayor disclosing that the three suspects have been identified, aged 18 years, 32 years and 33 years old,  and that at least two of them are brothers. I hope they apprehend them along with every accomplice who helped them achieve today's evil mission.

Live And Let Live??????

I just got word about the ongoing terrorist crisis in France. I am gobsmacked at the lengths to which these Islamic extremists go to prove a point about the sanctity of their religion and beliefs. It is truly bothersome and even though I don't know how right now, I do know it needs to be checked ASAP.
You cannot just go around killing people simply because they crossed a line with you and have differing views from yours. You just can't and you mustn't.

This is not the first time this French Magazine Charlie Hebdo would be involved in alleged blasphemy against the Prophet Mohammed and for their views on Islam and the articles and cartoons they churn out. These controversies go as far back as 2006 when the Magazine reprinted the infamous image a Danish cartoonist released which caused chaos all over the world up to our very own Nigeria. Since then Magazine Charlie Hebdo has received death threats, had a fire bomb thrown into their office thereby destroying all their computers, and so on and now this. It has been as bad as the organization  having armed security watch over them due to threats and even a previous attack.

I do not support goading and taunting psychopaths in the name of freedom of speech. I mean come on, we all know how sensitive these fellas are about their thing yet we keep prodding till they snap. Now look at the carnage and trail of hurt and pain they have blazed across the world, just because.

There is no justification for what those incorrigible terrorists have done and still intend to do because I heard they have a list of targets across the globe whom they have earmarked for death because they feel they are anti-Islamic infidels. Even scarier for me is the fact that the three men who carried out today's terrorist act are still on the loose. Who knows where they are and what their game plans are?

Images of the terrorists in France today.
I sincerely hope and pray they are apprehended as quickly as possible and I'm pretty sure they would most likely be, what with the help of CCTV footage and also citizens support. I'm pretty sure if we, in Nigeria, have thought to install CCTV cameras all over the country as should be in this modern age, terrorism wouldn't have the upper-hand it does now. Also, the prompt response of the police, president's visit to the scene of the crime already and all that's going on right now just makes me thoroughly ashamed of my country. Boko Haram has been dealing with us seriously over the past five years and still NOTHING tangible is being done about the safety of the citizens. 268 days after the abduction of the Chibok girls, Mr. President is yet to visit Chibok nor bring back our girls. Sigh.

Stephane Charbonnier, the Editor of the Magazine was executed today. :(

My thoughts are with the French at this time.

Lighten Up Your Morning

I had a heavy evening yesterday which left me emotionally drained. I will blog about it in a few days as soon as I'm done compiling the interview and getting the needed documents to go forward with.

It was therefore a bit of a delight for me to come across the video below via a friend's Facebook timeline. Now, while I do not condone cheating, it just really cracks me up how she "innocently" catches his trifling a**.

Guess it's true that you can extract anything from a footie lover while he's watching a game, hehehehe. Enjoy.

BringBackOurGirls

Where are our girls?
Where are our boys?
How long shall we continue to hope?
How long shall we await their return?
Why haven't they been brought back?
Why is it so hard to bring them home?
What could their parents' be going through?
What are the fates of those in captivity?
Who will lead the way to retrieve our captives?
Who will make us smile again?

Please, we beg Thee to #BringBackOurGirls

A Young Man's Cry For Help - AllHeartsAlways

Hello good people, rise and shine because it's a brand new day and a promising week ahead.

I want to implore you all to try to reach out to this fellow if you can, because he reached out to me for some assistance and I felt the need to put it up as a post. I've explained to him that I can't be of major assistance financially presently due to some reasons though I will still send him something. I'm hoping by putting his email out here as a post (with his permission of course), he can get the full help he requires.

It's easy to get comfortable within ourselves but what's life without remembering and helping the truly NEEDY ones around us? That's the essence of being #AllHeartsAlways, to reach out and touch a life positively. I would appreciate any assistance you all can help him with.

Please find his message below. Thanks a million.

Good Evening,

My name's Wale. I was the one who reached out to you via Twitter earlier tonight for your mail.

Compliments of the season.

Let me go straight to the point, I need help, though I haven't met you before I do read about your Allhearts project and the wonderful work you do.

I'm about to be evicted and I've tried all possible avenues to raise the rent after I was out of a job for a while. I only recently got a new job last month. My rent is N180k, so far I've gotten N47k and I've been  pleading with the landlady but she isn't listening.

Since I'm no where raising the full rent, I was thinking she should accept half year's payment of N90k but she's refusing, maybe if I have the money at hand she would accept. I write to plead with you to help me if you can with whatever you have. I've been given till the weekend to pay or pack out. I've nowhere to go, as this year has been really bad for me.

I'm sorry my first time of reaching out to you is for a request.

I sincerely do hope and pray you'll be able to assist.

Thank you

Wale

Makeup Trends To Be Left In 2014 :)

You've got to watch this hilariously truthful video from our girl Jackie O Aina aka Makeup Game On Point. She's demonstrated the really bad makeup habits y'all need to drop in 2014 and NOT carry over into 2015.

I really like Jackie O's sense of humor and seemingly cheerful life as reflected in all her youtube videos. Watch the video and feel free to tag/share with that friend of yours who's guilty of these makeup gaffes. Lol.
